The Genuine Ricoh MH5422 is an advanced-generation industrial inkjet printhead that succeeds the earlier Gen5 series (MH5420/MH5421), delivering improved jetting accuracy, higher productivity and broader multi-ink reliability. Featuring 1,280 nozzles arranged in four staggered rows of 320 nozzles, it achieves native 600 dpi resolution with a standard 7 pL binary droplet size. Multi-drop greyscale technology enables variable drop volumes from 7 to 21 pL across 4 levels for smooth tonal reproduction. Maximum jetting frequency reaches 50 kHz in binary (2-level) mode and 30 kHz in 4-level greyscale mode, providing a significant productivity increase over previous models. Fully compatible with UV, solvent and aqueous inks, the MH5422 benefits from enhanced durability (especially with water-based fluids) and improved droplet velocity and landing accuracy for more consistent, high-quality results. Isolated ink paths support up to two colors, while the integrated heater and thermistor ensure stable viscosity control. A detachable cable design further improves serviceability.
