Product Overview
The Genuine Ricoh TH5241 (also known as Gen5i or G5i) is Ricoh’s first thin-film piezoelectric industrial inkjet printhead, delivering high-definition printing in a remarkably compact package. Featuring 1,280 nozzles arranged in four staggered rows of 320 nozzles each, it achieves 600 npi resolution for one or two colors (300 npi for four colors) and supports multi-drop greyscale technology for smooth tonal reproduction. The head jets precise droplets starting from 3 pL (single drop) up to a maximum of 21 pL in multi-drop mode, with firing frequencies of 40 kHz (2 levels) or 24 kHz (4 levels). Its broad ink compatibility — UV, solvent and aqueous — combined with excellent jetting stability makes it highly versatile for a wide range of industrial applications including sign-graphics, labels, textiles and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. Lightweight (only 63 g) and compact (52.7 × 45.8 × 55.4 mm), the TH5241 offers outstanding system integration flexibility and reliable performance for both single-pass and multi-pass systems.

- Power Isolation Warning: Completely power off the printer and disconnect the main power supply before connecting or disconnecting the FFC ribbon cable or fluid lines.
- Cable Replacement Protocol: It is strongly recommended to replace the head cable with a new genuine cable when installing a new printhead to ensure reliable signal integrity.
- Fluid System Preparation: Thoroughly flush the ink system with the appropriate cleaning fluid for the ink type (UV, solvent or aqueous) before first use. Only use inks within the recommended viscosity range (~7 mPa·s).
