Factory-original Mutoh DG-42771 DX7 textile printhead assembly engineered for Mutoh ValueJet 1628TD and 2628TD direct-to-textile printers.
OEM Part Number: DG-42771 | 8-Channel MicroPiezo Drop-on-Demand (DoD) Piezoelectric Aqueous Textile & Disperse/Pigment Printhead Module
The Original Mutoh DG-42771 Textile Printhead Assembly is an industrial drop-on-demand (DoD) piezoelectric printhead designed for continuous high-speed textile production, soft signage, fashion apparel, interior furnishings, flags, trade show backdrops, and transfer paper sublimation. Installed in Head 1 or Head 2 positions within the dual-staggered carriage array of TD series machines, this module delivers wide swathe coverage per carriage pass.
Engineered with 1,440 active nozzles across 8 parallel lines (180 nozzles per line), the printhead achieves native optical output resolutions up to 1440 DPI. Leveraging advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), it dynamically modulates droplet sizes from an ultra-fine 3.5 picoliters up to 21 picoliters. This dynamic volume control works with Mutoh’s Intelligent Interweaving (i²) wave algorithms to deliver smooth continuous-tone gradients, deep fiber ink penetration, and crisp vector line definition on open-weave and stretch fabrics.

1. Platform & Model Specificity (DG-42771 vs. Eco-Solvent Heads): The DG-42771 is engineered specifically for ValueJet 1628TD and 2628TD textile systems running aqueous dye sublimation or disperse inks. It is not interchangeable with eco-solvent dual-head printheads (DG-41914 for VJ-1618) or hybrid heads (DG-42386 for VJ-1608H). Using standard solvent heads can cause fluid compatibility failures and communication errors on TD carriage boards.
2. Dual-Head Slant & Registration Calibration: In TD series staggered carriage arrays, head replacement requires physical mechanical leveling against precision carriage reference pins followed by Service Mode electronic dot registration (`HEAD SLANT` and `INTER-HEAD ADJUST`) to align the two heads across both forward and reverse scan passes.
3. Mandatory Head-Rank ID Calibration: After mechanical installation, the technician MUST enter the alphanumeric Head-Rank ID (printed on the barcode label) via the Mutoh Maintenance Engineer Software (`MSA`). Running without registering the factory voltage rank leads to drop velocity deviations, color cast variations, and premature piezo channel degradation.
4. Faceplate Maintenance Precautions: Clean the orifice faceplate only using approved lint-free foam swabs moistened with genuine Mutoh aqueous textile cleaning solution. Never use aggressive solvent cleaners. Inspect and clean the rubber capping station seals and wiper blades regularly to avoid dried pigment build-up along the nozzle row.

Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Mutoh replacement printhead assembly in sealed factory packaging with factory shipping preservation fluid intact.
Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under standard OEM parts limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active textile/sublimation ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, fabric jams, electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic component. Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
