Factory-original Mutoh MY-80034 DX5 printhead assembly engineered for Mutoh Viper Extreme 65/90 and Viper TX Extreme 65/90 printers.
OEM Part Number: MY-80034 (Direct Service Supersession: DF-49029 Viper Multi-Head Platform) | MicroPiezo DX4 High-Speed Aqueous & Dye Sublimation Staggered Printhead Module
The Original Mutoh MY-80034 Printhead Assembly is an industrial drop-on-demand (DoD) piezoelectric printhead designed for continuous high-throughput dye sublimation printing on lightweight transfer papers as well as direct printing onto open-weave polyester textiles, sportswear, flags, and theatrical backdrops. Deployed across multi-head staggered carriage arrays (typically containing 4 to 8 printheads firing in tandem), each module provides two isolated fluid paths supporting either two discrete color channels or a single split-color line.
Featuring 360 active addressable nozzles partitioned across 2 parallel rows (180 nozzles per line at 180 NPI native density), the assembly delivers optical resolutions up to 1440 DPI. Leveraging advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), the piezo actuators dynamically eject variable droplets down to 3.5 picoliters, producing smooth tonal gradients, rich solid color yields, and sharp vector edge acuity across high-speed passes.

1. DX4 Aqueous (MY-80034) vs. DX4 Solvent (MY-44743 / DF-49059) Incompatibility: The MY-80034 is an aqueous-passivated printhead assembly engineered specifically for water-based sublimation and textile inks. Never introduce eco-solvent or mild-solvent inks into this assembly. Solvent carriers will dissolve internal adhesives, causing inter-channel leaks and permanent failure. For solvent models (Rockhopper II / Spitfire / Blizzard), use MY-44743.
2. Multi-Head Gantry Slant & Registration Calibration: In Viper Extreme 4-head and 8-head staggered carriage arrays, head replacement requires physical dial-indicator mechanical leveling against gantry reference pins followed by Service Mode electronic dot registration (`HEAD SLANT` and `INTER-HEAD ADJUST`) to align all heads across both forward and reverse scan passes.
3. Mandatory Head-Rank ID Calibration: After mechanical installation, the technician MUST enter the alphanumeric Head-Rank ID (printed on the barcode label) via the Mutoh Maintenance Engineer Software (`MSA`). Running without registering the factory voltage rank leads to drop velocity deviations, color drift, and premature piezo actuator burnout.
4. Faceplate Maintenance Precautions: Never wipe the metallic nozzle faceplate with dry shop wipes or coarse paper towels. Clean only using approved lint-free foam swabs moistened with genuine Mutoh aqueous cleaning liquid. Regularly inspect and clean the rubber capping station seals and wiper blades to avoid dried sublimation ink build-up along the nozzle row.

Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Mutoh replacement printhead assembly in sealed factory packaging with factory shipping preservation fluid intact.
Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under standard OEM parts limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active textile/sublimation ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, fabric jams, electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic component. Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
