Factory-original Mutoh DH-40275 (superseding DG-49581, DG-43345) DX7 printhead kit with bracket base for Mutoh ValueJet 1638, 1938, and 2638 dual-head printers.
OEM Part Number: DH-40275 (Factory Supersession: DG-49581 / DG-43345 / DG-43314) | MicroPiezo DX7 Drop-on-Demand (DoD) Staggered Array Eco-Solvent & Sublimation Printhead Module
The Original Mutoh DH-40275 / DG-43345 DX7 Printhead Assembly is an industrial drop-on-demand (DoD) piezoelectric printhead designed for continuous high-throughput commercial signage, fleet wraps, exhibition displays, banners, soft signage, and apparel sublimation. Operating within the dual-staggered carriage array of VJ-1638 and VJ-2638 platforms, this module functions as Head 1 or Head 2, doubling the effective print swathe coverage per scan pass to deliver commercial speeds up to 94 m²/h (1,012 sq ft/hr).
Configured with 1,440 active addressable nozzles across 8 parallel lines (180 nozzles per line), the printhead achieves native optical output resolutions up to 1440 DPI. Leveraging advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), it dynamically modulates droplet volumes from an ultra-fine 3.5 picoliters up to 21 picoliters. This dynamic volume control synchronizes directly with Mutoh’s Intelligent Interweaving (i²) wave printing algorithms, eliminating horizontal banding while yielding smooth continuous-tone gradations, dense solid fills, and razor-sharp 2-point vector micro-text.

1. Dual-Head (DH-40275 / DG-43345) vs. Single-Head (DH-40274 / DG-43988) Differentiation: The DH-40275 is specifically designated for ValueJet dual-head staggered platforms (VJ-1638, VJ-1638X, VJ-2638). While mechanically similar to the single-head DX7 (DH-40274), pairing and firmware communication on dual-head boards require this specific assembly. Always confirm the machine model number and carriage station before opening the packaging.
2. Dual-Head Slant & Registration Calibration: In the VJ-1638/2638 dual-head carriage array, head replacement requires physical dial-indicator mechanical leveling followed by software calibration via the Mutoh Maintenance Engineer Software (`MSA`). Re-register the head rank ID values and run the inter-head alignment patterns across all print modes to prevent overlapping and white gaps.
3. Mandatory FFC Cable & Damper Servicing: Always install brand-new flat flexible head data cables (FFC) and new DX7 dampers concurrently. Bent, frayed, or ink-contaminated ribbon cable pins will short-circuit internal piezo driver transistors, instantly destroying mainboard driver ICs and onboard fuses.
4. Faceplate Maintenance Precautions: Never wipe the delicate orifice faceplate with dry shop wipes or coarse paper towels. Clean only using approved lint-free foam swabs moistened with genuine Mutoh Eco-Ultra or dedicated cleaning solution. Regularly inspect and clean the rubber capping station seals and wiper blades to avoid dried solvent ink build-up along the nozzle row.

Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Mutoh replacement printhead assembly in sealed factory packaging with shipping preservation fluid intact.
Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under standard OEM parts limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active solvent/sublimation ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, media crashes, electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic component. Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
