Industrial 256-channel Q-Class printhead engineered with an 80 pL calibrated drop volume, VersaDrop capability, and a durable metallic nozzle plate.
OEM Part Number / Designation: Emerald QE-256/80 AAA | High-Productivity Q-Class Piezoelectric VersaDrop™ DoD Jetting Assembly
The Fujifilm Dimatix Spectra Emerald QE-256/80 AAA is an authentic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) high-performance piezoelectric drop-on-demand (DoD) inkjet printhead engineered for high-throughput wide-format graphics, industrial digital textile printing, decorative surfaces, and material deposition platforms. Beloging to Dimatix’s advanced Q-Class industrial family, the Emerald QE-256/80 AAA incorporates proprietary VersaDrop™ jetting technology, ejecting an 80 picoliter (pL) fundamental calibrated native drop in binary mode, or multi-pulsed drop envelopes scaling from 80 pL up to 200 pL across multiple grayscale levels.
Featuring 256 individually addressable inline channels spaced at a native 100 DPI (254 micron) nozzle pitch, the Emerald QE-256/80 AAA is built with a precision-machined, chemically inert silicon orifice plate driven by PZT piezoelectric shear-mode actuation. Unlike the standard single-row layout of earlier architectures, the Emerald series is engineered with a dual-ported fluid recirculation path and a compact, lightweight body design optimized for scanning carriages and high-density array clustering. With operational temperature capability up to 90°C (194°F) and onboard thermal monitoring, it provides straight drop trajectory, minimal crosstalk, and uniform drop velocity for UV-curable, solvent, and aqueous formulations at firing frequencies up to 20 kHz.

1. Mandatory ESD Grounding & Power Isolation: PZT shear-mode crystal channels and onboard double-buffered driver ICs are Class 1 ESD-sensitive components. Technicians must wear a grounded ESD wrist strap. Never connect or disconnect electrical ribbon harnesses while carriage power or drive voltage is energized.
2. Protective Shipping Fluid Flushing: Factory printheads ship pre-wetted with protective storage fluid. Before introducing UV, solvent, or aqueous ink, thoroughly flush the internal manifold with a compatible, filtered flushing agent (0.2 micron absolute rating) to eliminate air locks and prevent chemical precipitation.
3. Silicon Nozzle Plate Protection: Never wipe or abrade the silicon orifice face with dry wipers, paper, or metal tools. Use only approved lint-free polyurethane cleanroom swabs dampened with compatible flush solution, or rely exclusively on automated non-contact purging and vacuum wipe stations.
4. Negative Meniscus Vacuum Regulation: Q-Class printheads require tight sub-atmospheric meniscus pressure regulation (typically -2.0 to -3.5 mbar / inches of water column) to maintain stable drop formation and avoid dripping or air ingestion. Always verify meniscus calibration prior to priming.

*Model Differentiation Note: This printhead is dedicated strictly to the Emerald QE-256/80 AAA (80 pL native drop) specification. Although it shares the Q-Class architecture with the Sapphire QS-256/80 AAA, verify the mechanical bracket design, carriage registration pin placement, and electrical bezel connector type on your printer chassis prior to installation. It is NOT compatible with smaller drop-volume Emerald models (such as QE-256/30) without full waveform and drive parameter updates.
Condition: 100% Brand New, Unopened Factory Original Genuine OEM Component in Factory-Sealed Anti-Static Packaging with Factory Storage Fluid Intact.
Warranty Scope: Covered by standard manufacturer DOA replacement protection against electrical continuity failures and physical manufacturing defects upon initial arrival. Because industrial piezoelectric inkjet printheads operate with chemical inks and require precise electronic drive waveform tuning, nozzle performance longevity is governed strictly by ink filtration quality, fluid degassing, correct drive waveform tuning, and adherence to recommended purge and maintenance protocols.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic consumable. Due to sensitivity to electrostatic discharge, internal fluid priming requirements, and chemical contamination risks once unsealed, components that have been removed from their static-shielding bag, filled with ink, flushed with solvents, or energized cannot be returned or restocked under standard commercial terms. Please confirm your printer model and drop-volume specification with technical support prior to unsealing.
