- Mechanical alignment, carriage mounting, voltage tuning, and fluid-line connections must be performed by a qualified technician following the printer and printhead manufacturer’s official procedures.
- For VUTEk PressVu applications: the printhead is supplied in the original sealed Spectra packaging and does not include the VUTEk metallic base. The metallic base from the existing head is normally reusable. Confirm availability of the JIG alignment tool (PMEDI8100) and jetpack build service (PPHVU13771) if required.
- Always isolate main printer power completely before connecting or disconnecting driver ribbon cables to protect the drive electronics.
- Use a grounded anti-static wrist strap (ESD protection) during handling. Piezo circuitry is sensitive to electrostatic discharge.
- Prevent ink contamination. Employ appropriate ink filtration and confirm chemical compatibility with the OEM fluid specification (solvent / UV-curable / aqueous, viscosity 8–20 cP).
- Observe correct meniscus pressure and sub-atmospheric pressure settings as specified by the printer system. The dual-ported design facilitates flushing and displacement of drying fluids with inert fluid during idle periods.
- Once the sealed packaging has been opened, the printhead has been installed, or the printhead has been exposed to ink, the unit is considered used and cannot be returned or exchanged.
