The Toshiba TEC CF6 is a high-speed evolution of the CF3 recirculating industrial inkjet printhead. It retains full ink recirculation through all channels and the 600 npi architecture while delivering significantly higher productivity through an increased firing frequency and optimised multi-drop performance.
The CF6 produces a native drop volume of 6 pL and can fire up to three drops to achieve 12 pL and 18 pL. It operates with 4 greyscale levels (0–3 drops) at a maximum frequency of 12 kHz, making it up to 1.5 times faster than the CF3. In single-colour mode it provides 1,278 nozzles at 600 npi across a 53.95 mm print width; dual-colour configuration yields 300 npi per colour.
Full recirculation through every channel ensures high jetting reliability, supports UV-curable and oil-based inks, and enables stable performance with higher-viscosity or particle-laden fluids. The CF6 is designed as a drop-in replacement for the CF3, sharing identical dimensions, electrical connections and fluid interfaces, allowing straightforward upgrades of existing systems.

Printhead installation must be performed by a qualified technician following the official procedures of the printer and printhead manufacturers. Incorrect handling can permanently damage the nozzle plate, electronics or ink system.
