Technicians should carefully unclip and transfer the existing Head Memory Board from the old printhead onto the new unit, or select part number PPHMIJV5002 if a complete assembly with a pre-mounted board is required.
2. Mandatory Head Cable (FFC) Replacement: Always install brand-new 31-pin flat flexible head cables concurrently with the printhead. Worn or corroded cable ends frequently cause short circuits that damage the main slider PCB and blow onboard motherboard transistors/fuses.
3. Head ID Input & Voltage Alignment: After physical installation, input the factory alphanumeric Head ID printed on the label into the printer’s Service Mode menu (`[#] PARAMETER` > `HEAD ID`).
