Factory-original Mimaki F160010 (superseding F160000) Micro-Piezo DX5 water-based printhead engineered for dye-sublimation, textile, and aqueous applications on Mimaki JV33, JV5, CJV30, and TS3 printers.
OEM Part Number: F160010 / F160000 (Cross-Ref: F158000 / F187000) | Micro-Piezo DoD Water-Based & Sublimation Printhead
The Original Mimaki DX5 Water-Based Printhead – F160010 / F160000 is an authentic OEM multi-channel micro-piezoelectric printhead engineered for textile sublimation printing, CAD technical drawings, indoor fine-art reproductions, photographic proofs, and water-based graphics. Built on the proven 8-channel micro-piezo platform, this unit arranges 180 nozzles across 8 independent channels (totaling 1,440 active nozzles) to deliver photorealistic detail at native resolutions up to 1440 DPI.
Leveraging Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), the F160010 modulates droplet volume from ultra-fine 1.5 picoliter dots for smooth skin tones and soft gradients up to 21 picoliters for dense, saturated solid fills on transfer papers and fabrics. Its internal fluidic chambers and manifold seals are tailored for aqueous solutions, preventing internal cavitation and air entrapment when running high-velocity water-based pigment inks or dispersed dye-sublimation inks (such as Mimaki Sb51, Sb52, Sb53, and Sb54).

1. Chemical Incompatibility with Aggressive Solvent Inks: The F160010 / F160000 is engineered strictly for water-based dye, aqueous pigment, and dye-sublimation inks. It does not use the specialized solvent-resistant manifold bonding found on the solvent-grade M007947 printhead. Introducing aggressive eco-solvent or mild solvent inks into this unit can dissolve manifold seals and cause catastrophic internal short circuits.
2. Head Memory Board & Decoder Compatibility: When retrofitting or replacing heads on Mimaki JV33 or CJV30 machines, ensure the green Head Memory Board PCB is properly transferred or matched to your printer’s slider board firmware. Certain firmware revisions require an uncoded/unlocked head configuration to initialize without encryption lock errors.
3. Mandatory FFC Cable Replacement: Always install brand-new 31-pin flat flexible head cables (FFC) when replacing the printhead. Inserting cables with worn gold fingers or ink residue risks shorting the driver transistors on the slider PCB and damaging the main board.
4. Dampers & Capping Station Maintenance: Always install new water-compatible ink dampers and inspect the rubber capping top before introducing ink. Never wipe the delicate gold-plated nozzle face with dry wipes or abrasive cloths; use only genuine lint-free swabs moistened with approved aqueous cleaning solution.

Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Mimaki / Epson Replacement Printhead in sealed factory packaging with factory shipping preservation fluid intact.
Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under standard OEM parts limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, platen rubs, ungrounded electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Return Policy: Precision electro-mechanical component. Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
