Genuine OEM Mimaki M007278 industrial UV drop-on-demand piezoelectric printhead assembly engineered specifically for Mimaki JF-1610 and JF-1631 wide-format UV flatbed printers.
OEM Part Number: M007278 / MP-M007278 (Core Architecture: Toshiba TEC CA3 Platform) | Industrial Piezoelectric Drop-on-Demand (DoD) Grayscale UV Printhead
The Original Mimaki JF Series Print Head Assy (M007278) is an authentic factory replacement printhead engineered for continuous industrial manufacturing on the grand-format 1.6 × 1.0 m (JF-1610) and 1.6 × 3.1 m (JF-1631) flatbed platforms. Operating across multi-head staggered carriage arrays, this module drives process colors (CMYK), Light Cyan, Light Magenta, and high-opacity White onto thick, rigid substrates including glass, acrylic, Dibond aluminum composites, wood panels, ceramic tiles, and heavy fluted plastics up to 50 mm in thickness.
Featuring 318 active addressable micro-nozzles configured in a high-precision linear orifice array across a 53.6 mm swathe, the CA3 core technology delivers native resolutions up to 1200 DPI. Leveraging multi-drop grayscale ejection with droplet capabilities from 6 picoliters up to 42 picoliters, the head balances delicate tonal transitions and crisp line art with the ability to fire large drops for solid coverage and dense white layers. Its integrated heating system raises ink temperatures to optimize fluid viscosity before firing, protecting the piezo crystal walls from excessive drive strain and ensuring long service life.

1. CA3 vs. CE4 Platform Distinction: The M007278 is engineered around the Toshiba CA3 core (6–42 pl drop spectrum) for the first-generation JF-1610 and JF-1631 flatbeds. It is physically and electronically distinct from the newer CE4 / CE4N heads (M018821 / M008386) used in the JFX-1631Plus / UJF-3042 MkII series. Do not substitute CA3 and CE4 heads without confirming carriage driver board compatibility and firmware level.
2. External Mounting Plate & Bracket Transfer: The replacement package M007278 includes the calibrated printhead core, heater, and thermistor harness, but does not include the machine-specific cast aluminum carriage mounting plate. Technicians must clean and transfer the precision mounting bracket from the decommissioned head, checking for square alignment and zero mechanical play.
3. Mandatory Head ID Parameter Input: Following physical mounting and connection of the dual ribbon cables, the technician MUST enter the alphanumeric Head ID value (printed on the barcode label) into the printer’s service parameters (`#PARAMETER` > `HEAD ID`). Operating without registration will lead to incorrect piezo driving waveforms, drop deflection, and premature actuator failure.
4. Faceplate Maintenance & Capping Care: Never wipe the coated nozzle face with dry wipes or abrasive cloths. Clean only using approved lint-free foam-tipped swabs moistened with genuine Mimaki UV cleaning solution (F-200 / LF-200). Inspect and clean the rubber capping station seals and wiper blades regularly to avoid cured UV ink accumulation around the nozzle row.

Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Mimaki / Toshiba TEC Replacement Printhead in sealed factory packaging with factory shipping preservation fluid intact.
Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under standard OEM parts limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active UV ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, substrate collisions, electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic component. Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
