Product Overview

The Genuine Xaar 501 GS8 S Printhead is a precision piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead specifically engineered for Solvent-Based ink applications in standard non-recirculating fluid configurations. Built upon Xaar’s PrecisionPlus actuator architecture, it delivers uniform drop formation, precise drop placement, and consistent firing performance with solvent ink chemistry. Featuring 500 active nozzles in a single-row layout at 180 npi native resolution across a 70.5 mm print swathe, it supports greyscale firing modes from 8 to 40 pL drop volumes across 6 grey levels. Constructed with robust, solvent-resistant materials and equipped with an integrated In-line Filter and WFG Nozzle Guard, it ensures long-term operational reliability and high-detail output in wide-format and industrial production environments.

Technical Precision & Operational Advisory

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Always wear a grounded ESD wrist strap and work on an ESD-safe surface when handling sensitive electronic parts. Piezoelectric actuators are highly sensitive to static discharge.
Power Isolation Warning: Fully power off the equipment and disconnect main power sources before replacing parts or connecting flexible flat cables (FFC).
Cable Replacement Protocol: It is strongly recommended to replace flexible flat cables (FFC) and related connectors with new genuine parts during every printhead installation to ensure reliable signal integrity.
Solvent Fluid Compatibility: Designed specifically for solvent-based ink chemistries. Ensure solvent inks are within specified viscosity and surface tension limits. Although equipped with an integrated in-line filter, regular system flushing and maintaining clean fluid paths are crucial for optimal printhead lifespan.
Professional Installation: It is strongly recommended to have replacement performed by a certified technician following standard technical protocols.
