Original Kyocera KJ4B-YH aqueous piezo inkjet printhead engineered for high-speed water-based ink applications. The Kyocera KJ4B-YH is an original genuine industrial piezo inkjet printhead from the KJ4B series, specifically designed for high-speed printing with water-based (aqueous) inks. It is the higher-speed counterpart to the KJ4B-QA model and is widely used in demanding single-pass and multi-pass applications including industrial textile printing, sublimation, document printing, transaction printing and other high-throughput aqueous systems. The printhead features internal filters that prevent foreign particles from reaching the nozzle plate and an integrated reservoir heater with thermistor for precise temperature control and stable long-term jetting performance.
This model provides native 600 × 600 dpi resolution across an effective print width of 108.25 mm. It utilises 2,656 nozzles (approximately 2,558 active within the effective print area) arranged at a nozzle pitch of 0.042 mm. Maximum drive frequency is 40 kHz, enabling a maximum print speed of 100 m/min. Drop volumes are selectable at 5 pL, 7 pL and 12 pL, with some configurations supporting an 18 pL drop limited to drive frequencies of 24 kHz or lower. Recommended ink viscosity range is 5.0–6.0 mPa·s. Typical physical dimensions are 200 × 30 × 60.9 mm (W × D × H) with a dry weight of approximately 438 g. The head does not incorporate nozzle recirculation.
Compared with the standard KJ4B-QA (30 kHz / 75 m/min), the KJ4B-YH offers significantly higher productivity while maintaining the same native resolution and nozzle count. Dimensions differ slightly from the QA series; the two models are not direct drop-in replacements.

Compatibility Notes
Used in selected high-speed industrial systems designed for the KJ4B-YH (examples include certain Hanway and other OEM platforms). The KJ4B-YH is dimensionally and electrically different from the KJ4B-QA/QL series and is not a direct drop-in replacement. Full system-level compatibility (head interface board, waveform, drive voltage, cables, firmware and ink delivery system) must be confirmed with the printer manufacturer or system integrator prior to installation.
Operational Recommendations
