The Original Canon PF-06 Printhead (2352C001AA) is a genuine factory-original 6-channel integrated thermal Bubble Jet drop-on-demand (DoD) replacement printhead engineered for Canon’s high-productivity imagePROGRAF TX, TM, and TA large-format printers. Fabricated using Canon’s semiconductor-grade FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) process, the monolithic silicon die is optimized to handle high-surface-tension, all-pigment LUCIA TD ink sets across high-speed technical CAD, GIS mapping, AEC design, and retail poster applications.

Housing 15,360 active addressable nozzles (configured with 5,120 nozzles dedicated to dual Matte Black channels and 2,560 nozzles each for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Regular Black), the printhead ejects calibrated 5 picoliter (pL) micro-droplets at native output resolutions up to 2400 × 1200 optimized DPI. 1. Platform Incompatibility with PF-04 and PF-05: Although the PF-06 shares physical similarities with the PF-04 (used in older iPF670/770 series) and PF-05 (iPF6400/8400 series), it is electronically, fluidically, and keying-tab incompatible. Installing a PF-06 into older iPF plotters or attempting to seat a PF-04 into TM/TX/TA models will cause carriage docking failure and motherboard communication errors.

2. Distinction from PF-10 (PRO-Series): Professional photography and fine art printers (imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, PRO-2000, PRO-4000, PRO-6000, and second-generation PRO-2100/4100/6100) require the PF-10 printhead (0861C003AA), which features 12 channels and 18,432 nozzles. The PF-06 cannot be used in PRO-series printers.

3. Electrical Contact Array Protection: Avoid touching the gold contacts on the rear of the printhead housing or the silicon nozzle orifice plate. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) or body oils will cause heater driver failures. If cleaning is needed, wipe gently using an approved cleanroom swab dampened with deionized water.
