Product Overview

The Genuine Xaar 501 GS8 OR Printhead is a precision piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead specifically engineered for Oil-Based inks with TF Technology High Flow ink recirculation. Built upon Xaar’s PrecisionPlus actuator architecture and equipped with Ultra High Viscosity Technology, it ensures continuous nozzle health, instant priming, and maximum resistance to ink sedimentation. Featuring 500 active nozzles in a single-row configuration at 180 npi native density across a 70.5 mm print swathe, it supports greyscale firing modes from 8 to 40 pL drop volumes across 6 grey levels. Factory-sealed with integrated WFG Nozzle Guard protection, it delivers excellent coverage, fine detail, and long-term operational reliability in demanding continuous production environments.

Technical Precision & Operational Advisory

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Always wear a grounded ESD wrist strap and work on an ESD-safe surface when handling sensitive electronic parts. Piezoelectric actuators are highly sensitive to static discharge.
Power Isolation Warning: Fully power off the equipment and disconnect main power sources before replacing parts, connecting flexible flat cables (FFC), or fluid lines.
Cable Replacement Protocol: It is strongly recommended to replace flexible flat cables (FFC) and related connectors with new genuine parts during every printhead installation to maintain signal integrity.
TF Technology Fluid System Setup: As this model does not feature an internal in-line filter, ensure external ink supply lines are fitted with proper filtration. Maintain active TF Technology High Flow recirculation to prevent sedimentation and ensure instant nozzle priming.
Professional Installation: It is strongly recommended to have replacement performed by a certified technician following standard technical protocols.
