The Toshiba TEC CF6R is the water-cooled high-speed variant of the CF6 recirculating industrial inkjet printhead. It combines the elevated firing frequency and optimised multi-drop performance of the CF6 with active water cooling for superior thermal stability in continuous high-duty operation.
The CF6R produces a native drop volume of 6 pL and can fire up to three drops to achieve 12 pL and 18 pL. It operates with 4 greyscale levels (0–3 drops) at a maximum frequency of 12 kHz — up to 1.5 times faster than the CF3 series. In single-colour mode it provides 1,278 nozzles at 600 npi across a 53.95 mm print width; dual-colour configuration yields 300 npi per colour.
Full recirculation through every channel ensures high jetting reliability and supports UV-curable and oil-based inks. The water-cooling circuit provides enhanced temperature control compared with the air-cooled CF6, making the CF6R particularly suitable for extended high-speed production runs.
Like the CF6, the CF6R is designed as a drop-in upgrade path for systems originally built around the CF3 / CF3R, sharing the same mechanical envelope, electrical interface and fluid connections (apart from the added water-cooling ports).

Printhead installation must be performed by a qualified technician following the official procedures of the printer and printhead manufacturers. Incorrect handling can permanently damage the nozzle plate, electronics or ink system.
