Premium 508-channel grayscale piezoelectric printhead with Green Label designation, optimized for UV-curable and aggressive solvent formulations.
OEM Part Number: Seiko 508GS (Green Tag / Green Label) | Dual-Chemistry UV & Aggressive Solvent Greyscale Piezoelectric Line Head
The Seiko Instruments 508GS (Green Label / Green Tag) is an authentic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) piezoelectric drop-on-demand (DoD) industrial inkjet printhead engineered specifically for high-reliability dual-chemistry operation across UV-curable, aggressive solvent, mild solvent, and eco-solvent industrial printing platforms. Distinguished in the field by its factory-assigned green serial rating label, this premium-grade variant features internal fluid paths, seal elastomers, and manifold bonding adhesives specifically upgraded to withstand aggressive chemical solvents and reactive UV monomers without swelling, delamination, or internal pressure leakage.
Featuring an interleaved dual-row array of 508 active nozzles across an active 71.8 mm print swath, the 508GS Green Label delivers true multi-drop greyscale performance from a baseline native 12 picoliter (pL) droplet size up to 48 pL composite drops across a native 180 DPI channel pitch. Integrated internal electric heating elements and a closed-loop precision thermistor provide tight viscosity control at firing frequencies up to 28 kHz. Shielded by a bonded stainless steel nozzle guard plate, it delivers reliable jet straightness and continuous high-density graphic reproduction in high-duty industrial production.

1. Mandatory ESD Grounding & Power Sequence: PZT shear-mode piezoelectric crystals and onboard drive shift registers are Class 1 ESD-sensitive components. Technicians must wear a grounded ESD wrist strap and work on a static-dissipative work mat. Never connect or disconnect FFC data cables while the carriage board or main power supply is energized.
2. Green Label Verification: Ensure your printer carriage board and firmware are calibrated for the Green Label series. Record the factory voltage rank code printed on the green casing label before physical installation, and enter the correct head voltage parameters into the printer control software.
3. Storage Fluid Purge Protocol: Factory-shipped printheads contain a protective storage fluid. Flush the printhead thoroughly using filtered, compatible flush fluid (filtered to 0.2 microns) before charging with production solvent or UV inks to prevent cross-contamination and nozzle dropouts.
4. Meniscus Vacuum & Cleaning Regimen: Maintain calibrated negative pressure (typically -1.5 to -3.0 mbar) in the secondary ink tank to prevent ink dripping or air ingestion during high-speed carriage reversals. Clean the nozzle plate face solely using lint-free cleanroom polyurethane swabs moistened with approved solvent; never apply dry swabs, paper wipes, or metallic scrapers.

*Model Differentiation Note: This printhead is dedicated strictly to the Seiko 508GS Green Label (UV/Solvent compatible) specification. It is NOT compatible with older binary Seiko 510 (35/50 pL) heads (SPT510) due to significant differences in waveform logic, voltage rank architecture, and head board pinouts. Verify the green label branding and voltage rank on the head casing before installation.
Condition: 100% Brand New, Unopened Factory Original Genuine OEM Component in Factory-Sealed Anti-Static Packaging with Factory Storage Fluid Intact.
Warranty Scope: Covered by standard manufacturer DOA replacement protection against electrical continuity failures and physical manufacturing defects upon initial arrival. Operating longevity and channel firing integrity are governed by ink filtration, degassing quality, correct waveform tuning, and routine maintenance compliance.
Return Policy: Precision industrial electronic consumable. Due to sensitivity to electrostatic discharge, internal fluid priming requirements, and contamination risks once unsealed, components that have been removed from their static-shielding bag, filled with ink, flushed with solvents, or energized cannot be returned or restocked under standard commercial terms. Please confirm your printer model and drop-volume specification with technical support prior to unsealing.
