Factory 4-color integrated thermal inkjet printhead replacement kit complete with introductory ink cartridges for HP DesignJet T100 and T500 series.
OEM Part Number: C1Q10A (HP No. 711) | 4-Color Integrated Thermal Inkjet (TIJ 4.0) Printhead Assembly with Starter Cartridge Set
The Original HP 711 DesignJet Printhead Replacement Kit (C1Q10A) is an authentic original equipment manufacturer 4-color integrated thermal inkjet (TIJ) printhead assembly engineered specifically for HP DesignJet T-series wide-format plotters and technical printers. Designed as an all-in-one unified print engine, the C1Q10A manages all 4 primary process channels—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK)—within a single drop-in carriage housing. This eliminates multi-head mechanical alignment issues and delivers sharp vector line drawings, GIS maps, AEC blueprints, and full-color presentations.
Featuring 4,320 total active nozzles (1,080 nozzles dedicated per color channel across dual interleaved arrays), the HP 711 printhead discharges calibrated 12 picoliter (pL) drops for pigment black ink to achieve crisp line acutance and high optical density, alongside fine 5.5 picoliter (pL) drops for dye color channels to render smooth tonal fills and clean graphic vignettes at resolutions up to 2400 × 1200 optimized DPI. The complete OEM kit includes the integrated 4-color printhead assembly and a full set of genuine introductory HP 711 starter ink cartridges (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) required to execute initial system priming and fluidic pressurization during installation.

1. Mandatory Starter Cartridge Usage: Always install the four included introductory HP 711 ink cartridges during the initial printhead replacement routine. The plotter's internal initialization algorithm requires specific fluid parameters and microchip handshakes to fill and pressurize the empty internal chambers. Using partially depleted existing cartridges can cause air ingestion and setup failure.
2. Carriage Latch Sequencing: Lower the printhead straight into the carriage carriage slot without tilting. Ensure the carriage locking latch is rotated fully down until it clicks solidly into place before inserting ink cartridges into the printhead basket. Never force the latch down over a misaligned head, as this will bend the rear electrical pins.
3. Electrical Contact Pad Care: Never touch the gold contact fingers or the lower nozzle orifice faceplate with bare hands. Finger oils and static discharge can corrupt smart chip communication or cause open circuit errors. If contaminated, clean the pads gently using a lint-free cloth moistened with deionized or distilled water.
4. Automatic Calibration & Media Loading: Once the initialization sequence finishes, the plotter automatically prints and reads a calibration pattern to align all four color channels. Ensure white bond or coated paper (minimum 24-inch roll or sheet) is loaded so the optical sensor can scan the test pattern without error.

*Model Differentiation Note: The HP 711 printhead (C1Q10A) is an integrated 4-color assembly. It is physically and electrically incompatible with dual-color modular printhead architectures such as the HP 70 series (C9404A–C9410A) or HP 72 series (C9380A–C9384A), as well as newer HP 712 / HP 713 DesignJet engines. Verify your printer chassis model matches the HP 711 specification before opening the box.
Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original HP Replacement Kit sealed in official commercial packaging with factory preservation fluid intact.
HP Manufacturer Warranty: Covered under HP's genuine parts limited warranty against materials and workmanship defects until the "Warranty Ends" date printed on the exterior box, or until the factory-rated ink throughput threshold is reached, whichever comes first.
Return Policy: Precision electronic component kit. Unopened, factory-sealed kits are eligible for return under standard commercial terms. Once the inner foil packaging is broken, the orange protective shipping cap removed, or the starter ink cartridges punctured and seated into the printhead basket, returns cannot be accepted due to fluidic priming, activation of the internal smart chip, and fluid contamination risks.
