Product Overview

The Genuine Xaar 501 GS15 S Printhead is a robust bulk piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead built on Xaar’s PrecisionPlus Hybrid Side Shooter architecture. Engineered specifically for solvent-based ink applications in standard vacuum/gravity-fed systems, it features 500 individually lasered nozzles spanning a 70.5 mm print swathe at native 180 npi density. Supporting greyscale operation with drop volumes from 15 to 75 pL across 6 grey levels, it delivers optimal drop formation, precise placement, and long throw distance for high-speed solvent graphics and industrial marking. Equipped with a solvent-resistant WFG nozzle guard, an integrated last-chance filter, pulsed TF Technology for on-demand priming during idle periods, and AcuChp technology, this unit guarantees high operational reliability and long service life in demanding solvent production environments.

Technical Precision & Operational Advisory

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: Always wear a grounded ESD wrist strap and work on an ESD-safe surface when handling sensitive electronic parts. Piezoelectric actuators are highly vulnerable to static damage.
Power Isolation Warning: Fully power off the equipment and disconnect main power sources before replacing parts or connecting standard electrical cables.
Fluid Compatibility Strict Warning: This head is configured for Solvent-Based inks ONLY. Do not flush or introduce oil-based, water-based, or UV-curable inks into this unit, as doing so will permanently damage internal seals.
Integrated Last-Chance Filter: Built-in filter safeguards nozzles from micro-particulates; ensure primary line filters in the printer system are maintained to prolong head life.
Professional Installation: It is strongly recommended to have replacement performed by a certified technician following standard technical protocols.

Compatible Models & Systems
