The Original Roland DX4 Eco Solvent Printhead is an authentic Japanese micro-piezo printhead designed for high-resolution, reliable eco-solvent and solvent printing across Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh printers.
OEM Part Numbers: 1000002201 / 6000005213 (Cross-Ref: Mimaki M004372 / M004905) | Dual-Channel MicroPiezo Drop-on-Demand (DoD) Solvent Printhead
The Original Roland DX4 Eco-Solvent Printhead is an industrial-grade electro-mechanical component designed for high-resolution graphics on adhesive vinyl, banner material, canvas, backlit films, and heat transfer apparel media. Operating in multi-head configurations (up to 6 heads in SOLJET models), this module allows each unit to handle two independent ink colors simultaneously via twin fluid paths.
Featuring 360 active nozzles partitioned across 2 independent lines (180 nozzles per line), the DX4 delivers native optical resolutions up to 1440 DPI. Utilizing Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), it ejects precise micro-droplets starting at 3.5 picoliters up to larger volumes, producing smooth color gradations, razor-sharp vector text, and dense solid fills.

1. Mandatory Head-Rank ID Calibration: Following mechanical installation, the technician MUST enter the alphanumeric Head-Rank ID (printed on the barcode label) into the machine via Roland Service Mode. Running without registering the factory voltage rank leads to incorrect drop velocity, satellite misting, or premature piezo fatigue.
2. FFC Ribbon Cable Replacement: Always replace flat flexible data cables (FFC) when replacing a printhead. Creased, worn, or ink-contaminated cable leads can cause direct short circuits to the carriage board and blow mainboard onboard driver transistors or fuses.
3. Damper & O-Ring Replacement: Replace the ink dampers and rubber manifold O-rings concurrently with head installation. Restricted or aged dampers cause ink starvation during high-speed printing, while leaking O-rings risk dripping solvent directly onto electrical sockets.
4. Solvent Faceplate Maintenance: Never wipe the nozzle orifice plate with dry shop towels or abrasive materials. Clean only with lint-free foam swabs moistened with genuine Roland Eco-Sol MAX cleaning solution. Routinely service the rubber cap top and wiper blade to avoid dried solvent buildup around the nozzle row.

*Compatibility Note: Specifically engineered for Roland eco-solvent and UV printers using DX4 technology. Verify printer carriage bracket and nozzle line color configuration prior to unpacking.
Condition: 100% Brand New, Genuine OEM Factory-Original Roland replacement printhead assembly in sealed factory packaging with shipping preservation fluid intact.
Warranty: Covered by standard OEM parts warranty against material and manufacturing defects out-of-box prior to ink introduction. No warranty applies once active solvent/UV ink or flush fluid has been introduced into the micro-fluidic chambers, or if damage results from head strikes, electrostatic discharge, or improper cable seating.
Returns: Unopened, factory-sealed boxes with intact tamper-evident seals are eligible for standard commercial return. Once the vacuum seal is broken, protective nozzle tape removed, or the head mounted onto a carriage frame, returns cannot be accepted due to fluid priming, static risk, and electrical contamination hazards.
