- Fluid Testing Warning: Never use a syringe or needle to inject water or cleaning fluids into nozzle ports to check for blockages. Manual fluid pressure flushes away the factory protective fluid, risks rupturing internal piezo membranes, and causes liquid short-circuits.
- Physical Handling Protection: The underside nozzle plate consists of delicate crystal oscillators and micro-nozzle channels. Avoid touching, bumping, or wiping the printhead face with rough materials.
- Power Isolation: Always completely power off and disconnect the main power source from the printer prior to installation. Verify smooth carriage movement manually before powering on the unit.
- Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) Safety: Inspect flat ribbon cables carefully before connection. Ensure cable terminals are clean, dry, and aligned straight. Any ink or liquid residue on terminal contacts will cause electrical short-circuiting and destroy both the printhead and the mainboard.
- Capping Station Maintenance: Always inspect or replace the capping assembly, wiper blade, and flushing box when installing a new printhead to ensure proper suction during head priming and prevent nozzle clogging.
